Plan your business month volume and structure growth
A very important that you can do that will help you focus on your business goals, and help you to plan and understand where your business growth is going to come from is to “map out your business month” rather than just approaching it “willy nilly” or flying by the seat of your pants.
I always draw out my business and plan how I am going to drive volume and structure. I have included an example below for how I would be approaching your business. This is something that we can do together at the beginning of each month to provide a goal monthly and keep focused. Without having a written goal and a mapped out plan it is very difficult to drive any sort of business – so this is a key skill that needs to be adopted quickly. When you have drawn out your plan (remember you should also be drawing out what you want to achieve with each of your frontline team members and have a plan for them), you can then start to multiply the number of PC orders by $218 (the wholesale cost of a box of capsules) to estimate what sort of volume you are looking to drive in the month!

Basically I look to build the business this way:
Step 1
Firstly, as a new franchisee the first step is to qualify as DIRECT by placing 5 Preferred Customers into your business. Now, as we should all be on our own product, I always register the new franchisee and then place a Preferred Customer order for them, this means that they are their own first customer. They will pay the Preferred Customer price, and at the end of the month they will make the retail profit back on their own order effectively giving them their product at wholesale price. This means that you only have to develop 4 Preferred Customers in the first 30 days to qualify DIRECT and earn retail profit + 4% commissions. Experience tells me that it takes you talking to about 10 people, giving them information, and following up in order to achieve 3-5 Preferred Customers. This business..like any business is a numbers game. If you can accept that, and make sure that you talk to 10 people a week, then you will build a very large and profitable business.
During each business month, I am setting my business up for growth and as such I am also looking to expand my business by building a team of franchisees. So I am also talking with people about the business opportunity with Juice PLUS+®. In most cases lead with the product… once someone is convinced and looking forward to taking Juice PLUS+® they are much more receptive to looking at the business. You will not interest someone in the business if they are not interested in the product! There are of course times (in the fitness industry for example) where you can lead straight away with the business opportunity and product at the same time. Working in this environment is another reason why franchisees with Team JP are moving so quickly
You should always be looking to get a minimum of 3 franchisees frontline in every month until you have at least 24 business lines in place - this is for anyone who wants to really build the business fast! If you can do this early enough – there is every chance you can also qualify as SALES COORDINATOR in your first 3 months (see the diagram above – if your franchise team replicates what you do and sign 4 preferred customers also in their first 30 days, you will easily achieve the volume required for SENIOR DIRECT and you will already have the structure you require for the higher levels!)
Step 2
Next step is to continue to develop a strong Preferred Customer base. You should now know how to contact, hand out information, and follow up. You know the numbers, 3-5 customers will come from every 10 contacts you make. You should be aiming for 5 new Preferred Customers every month until you have your "Qualified Business" base of 40 Preferred Customers in place. At this time you can slow down, back off and just maintain what you have, or continue to drive more customers for more retail profit and to provide a great safety net for your "Qualified Business". Out of these will also come some additional franchisees. Teach these franchisees what they need to do in their first 30 days to qualify as DIRECT, ie register them, order their supply as their own Preferred Customer and then help them to get their first 4 Preferred Customers.
By doing this you will now be starting to gather momentum in your business. Your team will understand the goal with their new franchisees ie helping them to get to DIRECT in their first 30 days, and your volume will start to increase.
If you have not already qualified at SENIOR DIRECT you will qualify in this month and earn retail profit + 9% commissions on your own personal Preferred Customer volume as well as 9% on the volume of any of your team who are not yet at DIRECT. If your team are at DIRECT, then you will earn the difference between the 9% total being paid out, and the 4% being paid to them as DIRECT. So you will earn 5% commissions on the volume of anyone in your team who is at DIRECT.
If you have completed these 2 months this way… you will be well on your way to SALES COORDINATOR and 14%!! This is the first MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT LEVEL in our business and it can be achieved within 3 months!!!!
Work with your new team members to help them to build their own new franchisees. Meet with them, plan their business with them, and have meetings with them and any potential new franchisees they have. Look to get in front of their contacts as early as possible so you can help THEM build as fast as possible also.
Teamwork and momentum is what sets your business on fire!
