Your Responsibilites With Your New Team Member In Month 1 - Get Them To Direct 4% With 5 Frontline

Ok.. so you have registered your new team member, gone through the "Getting Started with Team JP and Juice PLUS+" email with them to make sure they know how to log into Team JP University, you have been through their business set up with them to make sure they are all set up correctly (their JP+ website, brochures ordered etc), and you have spoken with them every day in their 1st week as they work through the Week 1 Training Guide to ensure that you have answered all their questions and that they are now confident to begin sharing Juice PLUS+ effectively with others.  Now what?

It's Time To Get To Work Together!
The most effective way to work with your new person in their 1st month is to work as partners with 50% of the work being done by them and 50% of the work being done by you.  As all new business that comes in for your new person is effectively in YOUR business, only being responsible for 50% of the work is a good deal!  This means that your new person is now working towards their business, which is also building YOUR business and so you are experiencing time and volume leverage in your business.

So how do you split the workload?
That's simple.  As you have just done the Week 1 Training with your new team member and this training is all about the Juice PLUS+ product and customer acquisition, your new person is now going to start working on getting their customers (with your help), and you are going to focus on getting their first 5 new frontline team members by "working their contact list".

Notice that I have said "with your help" in brackets above.  You cannot expect your brand new person to be an expert on Juice PLUS+ and super confident/capable after just 1 week.  You can let them loose on their warm market if you choose to, but I can tell you that they will blow their list, make mistakes, not be able to answer questions that come up, and will lose faith and become disheartened.  Is this the sort of action that you want taking place for your new person?  I trust that you are saying "NO!" to that question and for that reason:

You Must Do The 1st In Home Launch Event For Your New Person in their 2nd Week!
It is very important that you set up the most important event of all for your new person - their 1st in home "Launch Event" in their 2nd week - this is YOUR responsibility as their sponsor/upline.  This is a fundamental part of all effective start ups with new team members and this must be done if you want to ensure that you take your new person to Direct 4% in their 1st month.  This "Launch Event" should be all about health/nutrition/juice plus+ and is designed to help them get their first 4 orders to take them to Direct 4% successfully in their 1st month via the Express Track Program.

Their success is your responsibility and if you do the work properly to help them succeed, you will have an excited new team member who is enjoying their business with you, and looking forward to bigger and better things!  They will be more willing to do the work because their confidence is now high, and they trust that you are an excellent support for them!


If you want to be a success in the Juice PLUS+ business, you want to do this, and you want this to be duplicating in your team.

Taking care of their team building in Month 1
You are responsible for doing the work to get your team member their first 5 new frontline.  This allows your new person to relax and focus on the core skill of acquiring customers without overloading them with training and information on building a team in their 1st month.  This also means that you don't lose a month with them just getting customers and no team members because they don't have the capacity to do everything at once.  This is very important because for you to successfully take your new team member to Senior Direct Express Track in their 1st 60 days, they need to have at least 1 person in their team (and preferably more) that have also achieved 7 customers within the 60 day period.  For this reason getting new team members into their frontline fast is essential to their success and also to YOUR success - because you need to be developing Senior Directs to become a Sales Coordinator!

Working their contact list
Without a doubt this is the most important secret I have discovered to building a big business fast with Juice PLUS+.  It is essential that sometime in the 1st week, you ask your new team member to write down a list of everyone they know and can think of. You want at least 30 names and more than 50 is excellent...the more the better as this is your gold mine!

Key Learning Point:  Make sure you tell them NOT to pre-qualify their contacts i.e. they do not just write down the names of people they think might be interested.  This is the worst rookie mistake a person can make.  We just never know who will be interested in joining our team, or who is looking for an opportunity unless we ask.  If you leave people off your list that are successful, busy, wealthy etc you will miss out on people just like me and that would be a very bad mistake because I made National Marketing Director in record time in just 33 months!  Many people left me off their list because I was a corporate executive, earning $120k - $150k per year, lived in a beachfront apartment, drove a BMW and spent a lot of time flying interstate and overseas on business.  Those people figured I had everything I wanted in life and would not be interested.  They were wrong!

Once you have a solid list of name you can now set about sharing the Virtual Franchise Opportunity with the people on this list.  You should not have any emotional attachment to the outcome here - all you are doing is sharing the opportunity to find those who are interested in taking a look.  Those who are interested you send our Juice PLUS+ Product Information web pages and our Team JP Wellness Partner Juice PLUS+ Virtual Franchise Opportunity Information web pages.  I have included these here for you so you have easy access to them:

Your new person should be doing a part of this work because after all these are their contacts so hearing from them will be better than you cold calling.  However, sometimes your new person may be reluctant to do this and if this is the case you must be prepared to get on with it.  This is not difficult to do and here is an example of how to cover both scenarios:

If your new person is excited and willing to do the initial contact all they need to do is make a phone call to each person on their list and invite them to take a look at the opportunity.  It is very important that they do not get caught up in a long conversation about it, and equally important that they do not try to answer any questions about it. Both of these things can easily be avoided by the new person when you teach them the techniques that work to ensure that these 2 things don't happen.  So make sure you learn these techniques yourself because you are also going to need to apply them when your new person is too scared to talk to someone on their list and it's over to you to make the calls to share the information.  Here are examples of what is good to say in the phone call.

If you are holding a Virtual Franchise Business Opportunity meeting in home with your new person and their contacts - something along the lines of the following will do nicely:
  1. Typical hello (however they would normally greet the person) then "I only have a minute as I am heading into a meeting/need to pick up the kids/getting dinner prepared/have an appointment (pick one or come up with others) but I am really excited and want to share an opportunity with you.  You know how we have spoken in the past about doing something together/making a difference to others/wanting more income/wanting more lifestyle/wanting to work less (pick one or come up with something that is actually relevant to a conversation they have had at sometime with the person they are talking to), well I have found the perfect solution.  I want to send you some information to look at tonight and then I am having a get together to talk about it on (pick the night that you are holding your in home Business Opportunity presentation) - can you keep this night free and please come over to look at this with me?"
If you are going to do phone calls with your new persons contacts to share the opportunity with them then all your new person needs to say is something like:
  1. Typical hello (however they would normally greet the person) then "I only have a minute as I am heading into a meeting/need to pick up the kids/getting dinner prepared/have an appointment (pick one or come up with others) but I am really excited and want to share an opportunity with you.  You know how we have spoken in the past about doing something together/making a difference to others/wanting more income/wanting more lifestyle/wanting to work less (pick one or come up with something that is actually relevant to a conversation they have had at sometime with the person they are talking to), well I have found the perfect solution.  I want to share some information with you and once I have I know you will have questions so I want my partner to speak with you in person or on the phone to answer those questions.  Is that ok with you?"
In both cases people are going to start asking questions as that is human nature. It is very important not to get caught answering questions and even more important that your new and inexperienced person does not get caught answering questions.  The easiest way to do this is to simply say this:

"You know..that's an excellent question and the answer to that question and any others you have will be provided (on whatever night you are holding the meeting or ) in the information I am going to send through for you to take a look at. It's important that you take a look at this tonight as I am moving fast on this and want to know if you are interested!"

You can come up with variations based on these techniques but here are the key things that you must include:
  1. the reason you need to keep the call very brief and to the point
  2. the reason you have called them
  3. the reason you thought of them (they told you they want more income, they are great with people, they care about health, they want more lifestyle...whatever it might be pick something which makes them feel special that you thought of them)
  4. the importance of reviewing the information you are sending them within 24 hours (because you or your upline will be calling them to answer their questions OR because there is a meeting taking place to answer all questions and for them to meet your partner)
The whole purpose of working the contact list is this:  it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to get your new person their first 5 new frontline team members and not theirs.  YOU are the one with the experience now as you have been in the business longer than they have.  Even if you are brand new, you are still ahead of them when they join with you - if you are brand new and don't have this confidence yet then you must go to your upline leader and ask for their help!

Paretto's Principle or The 80/20 Rule of Business
When you understand why we work this way you will understand why we are so successful in building this business at Team JP when others struggle.  There is a principle rule in business that operates worldwide and this rule is known commonly as the 80/20 rule.  The 80/20 rule states this: 80% of your results will come from 20% of your team - for those that are not great at maths this means that out of 5 people you sponsor into the business...80% of the results will come from just 1 of those people and the other 4 together will make up the remaining 20% of the results.  This is fundamental to understand in our business and here is why:

Key Learning Point:  If you are building the Juice PLUS+ business because you want a long term successful business that will generate $1,000's per month income, then you will be looking to become a Sales Coordinator at the very least with the Company.  To become a Sales Coordinator via the Express Track Program (within 6 months of starting your business) you must develop a minimum structure in your business of 2 x Senior Direct Express Track business lines + 1 x Direct Express Track business line.  Let's examine the Senior Direct Express Track and how to achieve it:

The company promotes people to Senior Direct Express Track when they complete the 7-1-7 Program to Senior Direct.  This program works like this - your new person gets 14 Juice PLUS+ capsules orders anytime within their first 60 days and a maximum of 7 of those orders are allowed to come from a new team member.

Now, by the 80/20 rule (1 in 5) if we simply sponsored 1 person frontline we can only expect a 20% probability of that 1 person actually being capable of acquiring 7 capsules customers in their 1st month and in time for us to reach Senior Direct Express Track if we get them in fast enough.  This is a very low % and therefore a high risk of failing to achieve the Senior Direct Express Track.

If instead we work to get 5 people frontline, we are now operating at 100% probability of having at least 1 of those 5 people get their 7 capsules orders in their 1st month and in time for us to reach Senior Direct Express Track if we get them in fast enough.  1 don't know about you, but I like the idea of 100% probability over 20% probability and as I made National Marketing Director in record time I can tell you this absolutely WORKS!

That's it in a nutshell team.  If you follow these working principles you will build a large, happy, dynamic and successful Juice PLUS+ team who will all be working well together with their people, and duplicating these powerful systems throughout your business.  What YOU do will duplicate in your business team so make sure YOU do everything well and you will reap the rewards 100's and even 1000's of times over!
